You might be making one (or more) of these 10 common mistakes, and they could be the reason your skin isn’t improving.

From over-exfoliating to skipping SPF, these habits are more damaging than you think.

Save this, share it, and FIX your skincare game 💥

1. Over-Exfoliating

You might think scrubbing more = clearer skin, but over-exfoliating strips away your protective barrier, leading to sensitivity, redness, and breakouts.

2. Skipping Sunscreen

Even on cloudy days or indoors, UV rays damage skin, causing premature aging and dark spots. No SPF = no progress.

3. Sleeping with Makeup On

This clogs pores, traps bacteria, and leads to breakouts and dullness. One night can undo a week of good skincare.

4. Using Too Many Products

Layering 10 serums might feel productive, but it can overwhelm your skin and cause irritation. More is NEVER better. I promise

5. Copying Influencers Without Research

Just because it works for someone else doesn't mean it’s right for your skin type. Blindly following trends can cause more harm than good. Not to mention affilate paid links to promote. Don't fall for this!

6. Inconsistent Routine

Skincare requires consistency. Skipping days or switching products too often keeps your skin from adjusting and healing.

7. Not Moisturising Oily Skin

Oily skin still needs moisture! Skipping moisturiser can actually trigger more oil production and worsen acne. More on this soon!

8. Using Expired Products

Old skincare can lose effectiveness, or worse, cause breakouts or infections. Check those expiration dates and toss anything questionable.

9. Ignoring Your Diet & Hydration

No skincare product can fix chronic dehydration or a poor diet. Water, healthy fats, and nutrients are vital for healthy skin. For chronic skin conditions (especially acne) I cannot recommend enough having your Omega levels tested. I can help adivise on this.

10. Not Cleaning Your Tools

Dirty brushes, pillowcases, and phones collect bacteria that transfer to your face. Clean them regularly or sabotage your skin.
